16 July – Reflection
This week, we were asked to finalize our business card and letterhead design project. I was really excited to get our first design project complete and ready for print. In the end, I feel like my business card and letterhead are strong in their design. I think I am confident in my design because I did my research and had inspiration.
My long term goals for design are to continue using InDesign to create creative document files. I also am interested in pitching my design to Richardson Insurance. I am becoming more confident in my design skill and I hope to develop them more over the rest of the semester.
For my project, I started out with my research and let that guide my design. I was inspired to have a bold, fun and modern business card and letterhead. I think I did well in interpreting those aspects into my design. If I had to start over, I wouldn’t do anything differently. I am happy with my final products and I hope to improve my designs as I develop more advanced design skills. If I could give recommendations to future students, I would tell them to let their inspiration and research guide their design. I would also tell them to give themselves enough time to play around with their design and to not put it off till the last minute.
