6.2: Action!

In my final PR Publications assignment, I present my summary of learning project and a farewell to the PR Pubs class!

Choosing to do an infographic was difficult in its own right. I wanted to invest in a video for the class, but I realized if I wanted something with quality to close out my class experience, I’d have to stick to still graphics for now. Furthermore, I had to decide what I wanted to relay in the graphic, and after some thinking and planning, I found myself wanting to do something like an “infographic ad” for the class. I spent a lot of time in class scanning its structure and coming to see how the class was built to teach students quickly and effectively, then breaking it down into what I see as its 3 core elements: designer tools, design principles, and the student… you! My explanatory video will be posted as soon as I have the time to record.

6.2: Action!

Thanks to Adam Croom for letting me join in the class as a Vis Comm student. It was a great experience for self-reflection and writing, as well as exercising my design muscles in a public area. If there’s ever a future student looking for advice, don’t be afraid to drop a comment on any of my posts and I’ll get back to you as soon as I have a moment! If you find yourself wanting more design in your life, ask your advisor about taking a class in the Visual Communication program and checking out what it’s like deep in the designer jungle.

As a final message to everyone reading: take care of yourselves and don’t give up. The college experience is tough, but you can pull through. Good luck, have fun, and party just enough to stay sane!
