a place to hideaway

Although the scenery and architecture of the OU campus is breathtaking , my favorite spot on campus stands in the shadows of this beauty. It sits off of Boyd Street and beckons any bystanders attention.

What spot may this be you ask? The one and only, Hideaway Pizza.

Since I am a native Houstonian, Hideaway Pizza is foreign to us Texans. Hideaway is a spot on campus that I know will never disappoint in taste, conversation and atmosphere.

Hideaway Pizza is a place to meet friends, indulge in delicious pizza and get a feel for the “college life”. Coming from a pizza lover, Hideaway ranks number one in taste, atmosphere and service (I recommend “The Boz” to any newcomers). OU paraphernalia is displayed and allows for alumni, tourists and students to see OU history and get a feel for the OU community . Hideaway symbolizes more than a pizza shop to me. This restaurant was the first eatery in Norman I experienced as a novice, high school graduate. I took a tour of the campus followed by a trip to Hideaway. The beauty of the campus can be seen on the steps of Hideaway and then once inside the traditions and pride of OU come to life.

Hideaway is my favorite spot on campus, not only because it satisfies my pizza cravings but because of the memories I have there with friends and family.
