Action plan for my blog/website
Hello again!
This week in PR Pubs, we have been asked to assess our current “web presence” based on this blog that we have created for this class and create a plan of action for the future and where we see this blog/website headed.
I had the pleasure of taking PR Writing last fall with Owen Kulemeka and our final project in that class was creating a website for ourselves to display our material and information for future employers. I created that site using Weebly and it was not a bad try for my first time designing for the web. not bad, could be a lot better.
I have really liked using wordpress for this class, I feel that (if I had enough time) I would like to create my website on wordpress. The thing that I don’t like about Weebly is that it limits you to (I believe) 5 pages total, so my categories are kind of squished together (visit www.cameronscottmorgan.com to see for yourself).
Currently, I have a really funky redirect from create.ou.edu that is allowing me to sorta-kinda patch this blog onto my main website. I really like the layout that I have created in Weebly, but there are so many options and choices to be made in wordpress that I am trying to convince myself to just bite the bullet.
Say I kept this blog: Obviously I will wipe the majority of the posts off of here. No one will want to read a chapter review from a book they’ve never heard of. I would also erase any images or designs that I wasn’t %100 happy with. I don’t think I would blog very much, but having that options would be cool.
But, I guess I have about a week to decide, so tune in next time for me to announce my decision!
Until then!
