Analysis of The Earth Café and Deli

For my Public Relations Publications class this semester, I have been asked to create a business card and a letterhead for an organization. I am to choose this organization myself, based on personal interest, and analyze the organization itself as well as its competitors. This post will analyze The Earth Café and Deli here in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Earth’s mission is to serve residents of the Norman area with fresh, local, organic, and wholesome food as well as provide a refreshing environment for its customers.

The Earth’s main competitors are other organic vendors of its type. The Earth’s two main competitors are Natural Grocers and Sprouts, both of which are located within spitting distance of The Earth. Another competitor to consider would be Whole Foods, but the closest Whole Foods location is in Oklahoma City, so I won’t be focusing as much on it.

The Earth, as I said before, seeks to provide wholesome, nutritional products to its customers. It also seeks to educate those who are willing to learn about the nutritional value of organic, non-genetically modified foods. At its core, The Earth is a vegetarian organization. The café and deli do not serve meat, but The Earth holds no bias towards carnivores. The Earth would like to make the actual Earth a greener, healthier planet for us all.
