Analyzing My Organization

This week in my Public Relations Publications class we are designing a business card and letterhead for an organization of choice. I chose the Oklahoma City All Sports Association because I am currently working as an intern for this organization. For this assignment, I;m analyzing the state of the current organization’s resources, processes, and values overall.

The mission of the OKC All Sports Association is to serve as the local sports commission to the greater Oklahoma City area. OKC All Sports work with local sports teams and larger sports organizations to host a variety of sporting events in the area. All Sports works closely with the NCAA to host events such as the NCAA Women’s Basketball Finals and women’s NCAA College World Series.

OKC All Sports main competitors are other cities with locations to host large sporting events, such as Dallas. There is competition with cities that Big 12 schools can easily travel to. All Sports also competes for spots with the NCAA to host large events such as the Big 12/ SEC Women’s Basketball Challenge and the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship.

All Sports most dominant attitudes and core values revolve around providing sporting events to the Oklahoma City area. The mission of the OKC All Sports Association is to secure, promote, create, execute and host quality, family-oriented sporting events in the Oklahoma City Area.
