Analyzing My Philanthropy
This week in my PR Publications course, we are going to be designing a business card and letterhead for an organization of our choice. I chose St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because this hospital is Tri Delta’s official philanthropy, and I am very passionate about volunteering and working with this organization. For this assignment, I am analyzing the state of the current organization’s resources, processes, and values overall.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital firmly believes that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.
The top competitors for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital include Children’s National Medical Center, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and University of Texas M D Anderson Cancer Center. There is competition within these hospitals due to funding and resources.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer or any other life-threatening diseases, which are the dominant attitudes and values at the hospital. At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, families will never pay a single bill on housing, travel or food, because all the family should be worrying about is helping their child live.
