Andalusia Ballet: Analyzation

This week in my public relations publications class,  we are going to be designing a business card and letterhead for an organization of our choice. I chose Andalusia Ballet, my home ballet studio where I danced at growing up in Alabama. For this assignment, I’m analyzing the state of the current organization’s resources, processes, and values overall.

I was asked to answer the following three questions:

1. What is your organization’s mission–the service or product it sells?

Andalusia Ballet focuses on quality technical training in classical ballet and related dance forms.  The Andalusia Ballet Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the art of dance in our community, and its performing company, the Andalusia Ballet, both make their home at the studio.

2. Who are its main competitors?

The main competitors of Andalusia Ballet are basically any dance studio within a 100 mile radius, as that is about as far as students will drive for dance and ballet training.  Examples of competitors are the following: Andalusia Dance and Tumbling, The Co., Enterprise School of Dance and Center Stage.  This is not a comprehensive listing, but it does highlight the main competitors.

  1. What are your organization’s most dominant attitudes and core values?

The Andalusia Ballet Association, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to the continued cultural development of southeastern Alabama and specifically with the art of dance in Covington County.  Their goal is to enhance the lives of their students and the community through art of dance.
