Andalusia Ballet: Competitor Analysis

In a continuation of my last post, I am going to take a look at the competition that Andalusia Ballet faces.

I was advised to create a Pinterest Board to document photographically examples of the studios and companies that are also in the same area as Andalusia Ballet.  This was somewhat difficult because many of the organizations did not have websites or publicity materials beyond their Facebook pages. However, here is the link to the Pinterest board I created: Competitor Analysis.

Now, I need to answer some questions regarding Andalusia Ballet and its competition.

1. How does your organization differ from its competitors?

In the city of Andalusia, Andalusia Ballet is the oldest dance studio.  It is the only studio that still offers a pure training in classical ballet while also offering other forms of dance.  While competitors such as Alabama Ballet, Mobile Ballet and Montgomery Ballet provide these services, they fall in a different category of ballet organizations because they are attached to a paid professional company, whereas Andalusia Ballet is a purely community-based, pre-professional company.

2. How should your organization’s image and message differ from its competitors?

I feel that Andalusia Ballet’s image and message should represent the history and tradition of excellence that the organization has long held.  At the same time, the image should strive to stay fresh and relevant as to not seem old and outdated.  The strength of classical training that ABA provides should be reflected in the image and message.  Therefore, it is imperative that the image not present a “trash and flash” brand.
