Assignment 1

Hello everyone! The purpose of this blog is to be able to publish work from my Public Relations Publications class. I hope its contents will be interesting for you, as I stumble along my first online/publications class. For my first assignment, I will be sharing my favorite spot on campus at the University of Oklahoma.

At such a beautiful campus *at both day and night* it is very difficult to choose a single spot that is “my favorite”. However, for the sake of the assignment, I have chosen the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. It is the part of campus that has been a part of my life the longest and where some of my fondest memories have been made.

Being from Oklahoma, Sooner football has been a tradition in my family for years. My dad and avid football watcher/OU fanatic has raised me to be a raving fan of the football program at OU. When I was as young as 10 years old, I can remember coming to Norman to cheer on the Sooners.

Since then, my memories at the Gaylord Memorial Stadium with my dad have transformed into some of the best times in my college years. I have made sure to get my student season tickets, so I am able to attend almost all the football games. In addition to football games, the stadium has become a place I like to exercise (when the weather permits). During the semester, running the stairs is a great way for me to release stress and get away from studying for a bit. To wrap-up, the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is a symbol of tradition, family, and celebration that will be a part of my life forever.

Included in this post are some of the pictures I have taken at the stadium. I hope you enjoy them! For the readers out there, I would love to hear about your favorite spot on campus. Feel free to leave a comment and share!

Until next time,

Raegan
