Blog Action Plan
This semester my blog has been used in ways I never thought it would. It’s grown from one lonely post to three pages of them full of good work! While it’s unlikely that I will need the blog again for any Gaylord College classes, it can still be a valuable tool for me moving forward.
I think tarpsclass.com will be a good place to send people if they want to see what I did in college. I do, however, have another WordPress blog that I use to showcase my writing (Someday Bologna), and I feel like I will keep my future work on that site. Maybe I can post a link to tarpsclass.com on Someday Bologna, so that future employers will know where to find my design work.
Someday Bologna is an interesting case; my work on it isn’t really professional in the common sense, but I’d be happy for any future employers to take a look at it. I think there’s some good writing on it, even if it isn’t widely viewed.
Because I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do after college (though I’m narrowing things down), it will be good to keep my options open. That’s why a blog full of writing and another full of design work could turn into valuable complementary tools for me.
