Bootcamp, as told by Andy Dwyer
This week’s lesson was a bootcamp for beginners in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. I followed video tutorials to the best of my ability but still fell behind and had some trouble getting things just right. Just like Andy from Parks and Recreation, I got a little overwhelmed when asked to perform tasks that were out of my wheelhouse.
Persistence was key with this lesson. It takes time to learn new programs. It took patience to get things how they needed to be. Once projects were close to complete, I did begin to feel better about the bootcamp.
My reaction was similar to most when diving into the unknown–a little scary, but I know having the skills introduced in this lesson will be worth it in the long run. It just might take the long run for me to get the hang of it.
