Bootcamp: I am a survivor
It’s been a whirlwind this week in pubs, but I am a better soldier and woman for it. This week we learned how to use programs: InDesign, Adobe, etc. We were taught the basics, the not so basics and everything in between through lecture and through video programs, which was eye-opening in its own special way.
I learned that I personally am a much better learner when I have someone physically present to help walk me through the steps of different programs, especially InDesign. Photoshop wasn’t as difficult for me because I had used it a little in the past, whereas InDesign had me crying for my mama at some points. I also figured out that I like to design to music (shocker) and found some great new tunes to design to.
Overall, I ended up producing some really cool final product designs that I’m proud of. I’m looking forward to using InDesign professionally when I’m in the real world, mostly because I think it’s kind of fun and exciting to see a blank piece of paper go from white space to creative media. Survived the barracks, on to the front lines.
