Business and Letterhead Process Reflection

The business card and letterhead started as a challenge for me because I had to immerse myself in Photoshop and InDesign with little to no background in either. The business card proved to be a struggle for me but once I started the letterhead I realized I knew my way around InDesign much better and I completed that assignment in half the time. We were asked to make our own design by interpreting a company’s letterhead and business card and adding our own ideas to them. I had a serious case of writers block, or in this case creators block but thank goodness for Pinterest and Google. The longer I researched the more I was inspired and I gained a real idea of what I wanted my assignments to look like. Once I finished the assignments I was surprisingly impressed with myself because I knew coming in to this that I hadn’t had the slightest clue on what to do or how to do it. I think I reacted so well because I was proud that I did accomplish these two assignments and made them with my own ideas, which didn’t turn out as horribly as I assumed they would.
