Business Card and Letterhead Final Drafts Reflection
As the creation of my business card and letterhead comes to a close, lesson 6 had us putting the final touches on the pieces. At first I was out of ideas on what to change on my card and letter head, but my teacher and fellow students were able to suggest some alterations and help me decide what all I needed to edit. I reacted in a positive way to the edits and suggestions, because I was very open-minded to any ideas that would better my business card and letterhead. I think I reacted that way because I am a perfectionist. Any project I do I want it to be the absolute best it can be, and in this case I needed the assistance of my teacher and peers to help me create the perfect business card and letterhead. And by create the perfect card and letterhead, I mean create the perfect pieces within the current range of my knowledge with InDesign. Day by day I feel myself becoming more confident with InDesign, as well as Photoshop. I have informally shown my design to the company’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales, but I have not considered formally pitching it to her. I decided that once I am more experienced in InDesign, then I may create a more advanced looking business card or letterhead to pitch to D&L’s VP of Marketing and Sales. Until then, I’ll keep practicing with my PR Publications assignments.
