Business Card Brainstorming
For background on this post and assignment, please refer to these previous blog posts:
In this post I will brainstorm ideas for my business card and what I want it to portray to those who see it when it is handed out.
The visuals for my business card will be both type and image driven. Make-A-Wish has a specific font and language that makes their mission statement clear. This is important as per the reasons discussed in this blog post. The type and images need to inspire hope, joy and strength. The color also needs to be the brand color – Make-A-Wish blue!
When it’s handed out, I want people who get it to immediately envision the organization’s mission statement without being an information or sensory overload. It needs to be simple, yet make an impact. As an ulterior motive, I want that to be so strong that they want to learn more about Make-A-Wish and maybe even consider getting involved with the organization. The ultimate goal of a nonprofit is to fulfill its mission statement – which comes from donations and volunteers necessary to keep it operating. I want the business card I design to incorporate what Make-A-Wish does and stands for, while encouraging others to be passionate and stand behind the organization.
Here’s some different types of inspiration that I’ve been pinning on my Pinterest boards!
