business card design draft and reflection

This week we began lesson 4,Analyze and Synthesize: Research-Driven Design.  We started our first big design project of the year, which was to create a business card for an organization of our choice. Before we were able to begin our business card design, we needed to conduct preliminary research regarding our organization, its competitors, its goals, interests, etc. I responded well to this task because I do not mind doing a little research. Research helps us gather the information we need to please our client and our consumer. Once I realized my organization was very small and we did not have a lot of competitors, I had to be creative. When doing the research I reacted well to the tasks at hand and the information that I found. I reacted this way because I was proud of my critical thinking skills and the effort I put into researching, making pinterest boards, writing blog posts, and finally drafting a business card.  The hardest part of the entire week was actually drafting the business card! I am eager to become more proficient in indesign and photoshop so that my future project will be even better.
