Business Card First Draft

For this assignment, my public relations publications course was asked to create a business card for a business of our choice.

It was a great experience! It was my first time working in InDesign with a blank slate. I was excited to get going.

Once I started, I realized that it would take a lot more time than I originally thought. Honestly, I think I had about 5 designs that I played around with before eventually landing on this one – and this isn’t even where I want my final product to be. It’s pretty cool how a design develops from a blank slate to what it later becomes in its final stages. The amount of time, work and effort put into what might seem is the simplest of details is incredible. I think I went through so many designs because I didn’t like what I was creating. Finally, I took a step back and took some time away so that my thoughts weren’t as clouded. I now know that it’ll take more time than I think to create designs.

With that being said, you can click here to see the first draft of my business card!
