Business Card Reflection
Today I completed the first draft of my Oklahoma Watch business card. Since this was the first draft, the assignment focused more on successfully navigating your way through Photoshop and InDesign tools to make a business card, rather than how pretty your business card ended up looking. It may not look pretty and there’s plenty of room for improvement but I created a business card!! I now feel a little bit more like an adult.
I was not looking forward to this assignment, especially with the instructor being out of town just before it was due. I was certain that I was going to get stuck somewhere and have no idea how to continue. Thankfully, there were other students and online tutorials who knew much more about creating a business card than I did!
I honestly thought I would be stuck in the computer lab for hours, but after about an hour and a half I had pretty much everything completed it. This was a shock to me because after a slow start, I really got going and the assignment was not impossible like I thought it was going to be.
I guess I wasn’t confident in my ability to finish the business card in a timely manner because I feel completely out of my element. However, I’m glad I set aside a copious amount of time to do this project because it left me to enjoy some free time! So I guess I’m pleasantly surprised that the task was challenging and not overwhelming like I thought it would be.
So here it is, the first draft of my Oklahoma Watch business card.
