Canva Reflection

This week in my public relations publications class we were asked to pick a brand or organization and design a facebook cover photo, facebook post, twitter post and instagram post using the online design website Canva. When I found we were using canva this week I jumped for joy inside. I have used canva in the past for designing graphics to use for a tumblr and blog that I run for my sorority. 

Using canva has been my favorite application so far. I think I was a little excited too because I knew what I was doing before I completed the tutorials, which made me more comfortable going into the assignment. I was also stoked because I chose to design graphics for my sorority for recruitment 2016. We also do social media posts leading up to recruitment so I already knew what we would look for in a post.

I as usual kept my designs pretty simple and clean the way that I like them to be. I also got to use photos that I have taken or been apart of which was exciting for me. Being in an organization with over 250 members not everyone can be featured on social media all the time. I think that the images I designed are extremely usable and images I could see our marketing chair using for this upcoming recruitment. This is not only the project that I was most excited about but this project has been the most fun for me to design because it is for an organization I am apart of. I would be proud for my graphics to be featured on our facebook or instagram page. I think that they follow our themes that we have and uphold our values. This has by far been my most enjoyed project.
