Canva Reflection Post

This week in our PR Publications we were asked to create a Facebook Cover, Facebook post, Twitter cover and Instagram post for an organization or brand of our choice. I chose the brand Patagonia because I feel like I never really see them on any form of social media platform and wanted to see what I could personally come up with.

I ended up doing some different things with each post. I wasn’t very clear on if we had to use the same idea for each post, so I just kind of did my own design. For the Facebook cover, I used a beautiful picture of the top of mountains and said “Reach new heights. Shop Patagonia”. Because Patagonia is a very outdoorsy brand.

For my Facebook post, I wanted to act like they were having a Sale. I felt like this would be a good way to get the word out about a sale, especially an online sale.

For the Twitter cover, I decided to do the same, “Reach new heights. Shop Patagonia”. I feel like cover photos should be very simple.

And for the Instagram post, I wanted to do another sale except this post I wanted to incorporate their swim season attire. So I decided to use a beach background and use the actual Patagonia fish logo.

I am extremely pleased with the way these turned out. I absolutely loved Canva. Probably because it was very good at explaining how to do things. I felt like I figured out quickly how to work the program. I loved how they had tutorials for almost every tool or detail you could want. That was extremely helpful, however I thought that it was weird how you had to pay for so many images that you could just easily find online somewhere. I think that is just an odd concept.

I truly felt like I was more creative using Canva because I wasn’t so flustered with trying to figure out how to do little things. I really enjoying using this program. I am overall really happy with my finished products!
