Chapter 1, Designing for Emotion.
We were assigned to read chapter one of the book, Designing For Emotion, and asked to discuss what we agreed and disagreed with.
A few things I agreed with were that each thing you designed needed to have a little piece of you in it. I think this is what makes the end product authentic and genuine. It also helps on differentiating it from other products, and gives your design, you. I also agreed with emotion and memory. I have a really bad memory, and the few things I do remember are the really emotional things that have happened. Being able to apply that to design seems really hard, but if done correctly, i think it could be rally effective.
One thing that I didn’t really agree with was being not exactly unprofessional, but too casual as if speaking to friends on social media should be used in moderation. I honestly really like when celebrities respond to other users like they would as friends and just show their true selves. It makes them seem very authentic and hilarious.
