Chapter 2

One thing that I really liked about this chapter was how it talked about our brains and how they seek contrast. I completely agree that we are hardwired to seek contrast in our everyday life. We can immediately notice when something is not how it should be, like when milk is spoiled. We can also easily see this design elements, but in a different way. We can recognize that design concepts can contrast each other in a way that adds to the overall development of the piece.

One thing that I did not like about this chapter was how he said that we seek to find ourselves in design, and in everyday life. It may just be me, but I am not usually seeking to find myself in design elements. If anything, I aim to find things that contrast my personal self in order to learn about new things that are foreign to me and personal style.
