Chapter 2 Designing for Emotion

One idea that I agree with in Chapter 2 of Designing for Emotion is that “we all emote”. We all have emotions that shape us and our character. We are born with emotions. It is how we handle our conflicts and communicate to others. What would our world be like without emotions? Sometimes I hear girls always say, “I wish I just didn’t care. I wish I didn’t have emotions.” But without emotions nothing would be possible. Nothing would get solved or be accomplished. Emotions are are great deal of life.

 

One thing that I do not agree with is how Tumblr’s simplicity is what makes users want to use this social media outlet. I agree with the fact that when the human brain see’s something more complex, it takes time to make a decision, however Tumblr doesn’t need to keep a simply commodity just because of this reason. For me, I like to figure things out and enjoy when there are complex tools etc. for one to use.
