Chapter 4 Reading Response

One thing I liked about this chapter was reading about how letting people have a slight view on a new design change will help them adjust to it and be more welcoming of it. I like the open systems as apposed to a closed system. I also think if you are able to get some feedback from people about your new design before you just shove it down their throats, your response will be better and people will be more open to it.

Once again I did not disagree with anything that I read in the chapter. However, one thing from this chapter that I kept thinking about after I read it was the looming question of how would I want to create a surprise or anticipation in a project that I was working on for a class or for a client. I think that surprises or anticipation in design are useful and they get a good response from people. However, I think that coming up with anticipation or a surprise would be challenging and it got me thinking about how I would work to achieve that. I still do not have the answer but I will continue to think about it and I thought this chapter brought up a good tactic to use.
