Communication Strategy – Ideas

In my PR Publications class, we are brainstorming ideas and tones for Lindsey + Asp. This blog post will be sloppy and probably seemingly scattered. However, this is to get my ideas flowing, so that I can create a business card with the personality and attributes of the company.

The visual language that I want to use will be: professional, energetic, classy, simple, creative, pleasing, lively, clean, alluring, fun, engaging, persuasive.

I think the visuals will be more type driven. I want it to have the logo and then I want it to have clean, clear and simple type that gives all of the information out. I want the business card to have more type visuals, because it will give information about the person and more ways to get in contact with the person. For example, I love the look of the McKinsey & Company business cards. They are so clean and chic. Absolutely great.

I think the type visuals need to be informational about the person. What is their name, title, phone number and extension, email, social media if applicable. I think it should give people a way to get in contact with that person in many different ways. I think the image visuals need to be clean and they need to have the logo. I think it is important that the image is not overwhelming but it is suave and tasteful.

Lastly, the connotations that I want my business cards to have are: professional, tasteful, suave, classy, clean, alluring, informational. When people look at these cards I want people to see Lindsey + Asp as a professional agency and not just a bunch of inexperienced college students. I want people to respect our work and to respect our brand. I want people to look at these business cards and take us seriously. We are young professionals that want to make a difference and given the chance I believe that Lindsey + Asp will do great work for your business.
