Company Research

For my Public Relations Publications class we were to chose an organization that we were interested in. Once we had chosen the company, we were to research it to see how we can best meet their needs.

For my logo and design project, I chose to use my family’s pharmacy back home in Altus. I have grown up working at “Bunker Hill Pharmacy” and couldn’t think of a better organization to help re-design their logo. They have never had a set logo or even a mission statement, so hopefully by the end of this assignment I can help give them just that.

Bunker Hill Pharmacy prides itself on being the only drugstore in Altus, Oklahoma that offers free at-home deliveries. Aside from the convenient drive-thru window, they strive to help customers receive the medication they need at discount prices.

Bunker Hill has been serving customers for over 50 years; longer than any of the four other local drug stores. However, the biggest competitor right now is probably the new Walgreens pharmacy that has been located just right up the road from BHP. Putting a Walgreens in Altus was a huge stepping stone for the small town. Besides Walmart, this was the biggest chain the town had ever seen.

Bunker Hill stands out by it’s friendly employees, free delivery services and it’s convenient location. It is clear that this drug store truly cares about it’s customers and wants to help serve them in any way possible.
