Design Blitz!

Symbol.

 

I chose this picture of the OU flag in front of Gaylord as an example of symbol, because when someone sees the OU logo they know it represents the University of Oklahoma.

Typography.

I chose this poster as an example of typography. It reads “education is the most powerful weapon” and the font is formed into a picture of a gun. I think that this poster is extremely creative and effective.

Color.

I chose this picture of a welcome mat as an example of color. Although it contains multiple colors I think it utilizes the colors well and is balanced.

Balance. 

I chose this sign at the cottages as an example of balance. The words on the sign are centered, which makes the entire sign look balanced, appealing and easy to read.

Minimalism. 

I chose the google homepage as an example of minimalism.  I think this is one of the best examples of minimalism. It’s very simple with the white background and basic colors used for the google logo.
