~Typography~ “the art or process of setting, arranging, & designing type” The image below illustrates a bold, serif, Times New Roman, letter “K”. The letter K can stand for many different things but in this case it hangs on my bedroom door so that visitors know which room is mine. The size and location of the letter are visible to anyone who looks in the direction of my door. Because of this, I believe that my K serves its purpose very well.

{Colors} There are many different colors that we see in our everyday lives. Many people probably do not think about how colors effect us, but in many ways they definitely do. Warm colors “represent passion, happiness, enthusiasm, power & energy.” Cool colors “represent calm, stability, professionalism, & trustworthiness.”

*Use of Space* How we observe space in everyday life is registered in our minds and usually not thought out a lot. Our subconscious mind registers many things and quickly judges how we are going to portray them. For areas that are cluttered, our minds recognize this as messy and unorganized but when we see symmetrical and even arrangements of objects within a space, we register this as clean and neat. In my house, we places wooden boxes along the living room wall. These boxes aren’t in a particular order based on size, shape, or any other aspects, but they work together. It is funny how depending on what things are, we interpret them very differently. If these were papers on a desk or shoes in a closet, we would see this as disarray but as a decoration, it seems just right.
