Photo One

When I first looked at this photo, the first thing I noticed was the male figure typing on the typewriter. This was due to the contrast of white and black colors. Since the man was the only thing that was white in the photo, the eye automatically looks to him first versus the all black background. This photo is a great example of a good use of color contrast.

The main thing I notice when I look at this photo is contrast. There is contrast in the size of the fonts as well as the colors used in this poster. The size of the logo is substantially bigger than the other words due its importance, which makes it stick out to someone looking at the poster. Also, the use of horizontal and vertical words in the logo give the poster originality. Another thing that gives the poster originality is its typography. The font used is very original, which makes the poster recognizable and memorable.

In this sign, the main thing I noticed and wanted to focus on was the alignment and use of asymmetrical balance. Everything in this sign is perfectly aligned to the left which makes it easy to read and easily followed. Also, the use of asymmetrical balance gives the sign a uniformed layout. The contrast in the size and color of the title from the rest of the sign is also effective in drawing the reader’s eye to the title first.

After looking at this poster, the first thing that got my focus was the originally of the layout of the photo. The use of symbolism that makes the poster look like a snap chat immediately grabbed my eye. The message of the poster is further enhances by the use of the snap chat layout.

Though I took this photo awhile ago, I this logo on the cupcake is a great example of successful minimalism. Though this logo does not say much, the blue crown signals the newest member of the royal family is a boy as does the simple statement of the Prince of Cambridge. The contrast of the colors blue and white also gives the logo the ability to stand out.
