Design Blitz

There are important aspects of design that help create a meaningful message. Things like simplicity, typography, color and symbols help to make a design memorable.

Minimalism: The following card and print are a couple of things in my room that portray minimalism. I like both pieces because nothing seems forced and and the design is clean and makes the artwork easy to look at.

Typography: I think the typography in this advertisement for the popular dating app, Bumble, plays an important role in the design. Using the font that is seen on the iPhone intertwines the idea of a dating site and the fact that it can be used on a smartphone.

 

Color: The Gobstopper package is full of color. This design element works with this candy because it is representative of the fun you will have while eating them as well as on a literal level that each box is full of colorful balls of sugar.

Symbols: The Schooner has been a symbol of the OU spirit for a long time. Putting a symbol like this on a pillow (or any other type of merchandise) allows consumers to show off their school spirit.
