DESIGN BLITZ

hello there, me again. So for this assignment we were to take five pictures of anything that with held a design (which is literally anything, if you were wondering). I kind of struggled with this assignment at first because I found myself looking for the perfect picture instead of finding key design elements in everything around me.The first picture represents This is a picture of me and best friends, could you tell? I think this picture is well balanced due to the way you eye goes across the photo

The first picture represents balance. This is a picture of me and best friends, could you tell? I think this picture is well balanced due to the way you eye goes across the shot. First, being caught by the giant balloons but then skims down to our faces in the middle of the picture and is even out but the dark wooden floors.

The next picture shows unity. This image is of the bench seats in Lindsey+Asp. The contrast of the red and green show the everlasting connection between the design. Swirling from one circle to the nest this is very intercut but harmonious.

The third photo represents color. This flag tapestry is the centerpiece to my living room. I think we can all agree that the American colors of red white and blue complement each other while allowing each to stand its own ground. This fabric brings out more colors that add a fun flare to our American staple.

The next image demonstrates proportion. I enjoy this wall because i really enjoy lily pads for some reason….anyways, the proportions of the big lily pads compared to the small ones complete each other on the wall or in the big picture of things. In the picture overall, I think the lil pads compared the rest of the photo take up an appropriate amount of space compared to the remaining things in the image.

The final picture represents a symbol. This is a  symbol that OU students see on literally EVERYTHING. To others it might just represent The University of Oklahoma, but to me it represents so much more. It represents where I found my friends, my soulmates it may seem. It is where I found my love for football and sprites. It’s where I spent MANY nights awake with friends studying or laughing. It is my home and I will always hold a special place for these letters in my heart.
