Design Blitz
This past week I learned about basic design principals in PR Publications. The do’s and don’t’s of design. Some seemed simple and some were more complicated to figure out and see. We were asked to look around us and find some examples of these design concepts in our ‘everyday’ surroundings.
The first that stood out was a craft my sorority sister made for me. I believe this represents a few design concepts but I chose color. The first thing you notice is the purple contrasting with the cheetah print.
The next design concept I noticed in my room was my pillow. It represents the concept balance with the same pattern and colors.
Another design concept I found was minimalism & use of space. The white background makes the gold stand out. Very simple and a good use of space. If the lips were smaller it wouldn’t look right.
One of my favorite books Love Does by Bob Goff sits on my bed side table. I thought this represented the concept metaphors/symbols.
The last concept I found in my room was typography. I got this for my 21st birthday. The change in font size looks nice with the alignment. It is pleasant led to right and all the way down the block.
