(Balance)
I took this photo two summers ago and it is a good display of balance. Some landscape photos are too sky or land heavy and are unbalanced in the overall photographic portrayal of nature. However, in this image there is balance between the sky and the landscape and neither dominates, but work cohesively together to create the overall display.
Prismacolors
(Proportion)

In this image description, I am focusing on the top of the tin the colored pencils are in. The proportion of the image compared to the size of the lid is fitting. Though it does take up most of the lid, it is a good thing because it shows an image colored and drawn by the product it covers. The proportion of the image is not overwhelmingly large, nor is it too small to see details, but it is just right.
Apple iPad
(Minimalism & Use of Space)

This is the back of an iPad. I took this because of the minimalism and use of space. Apple chooses to have a minimal brand image, yet is extremely recognizable to the public. The image of the apple itself is small and leaves the rest of the back of the product blank. This allows for space free of clutter. The design is simple and recognizable and obviously extremely successful.
Starbucks Cup
(Symbol)

Starbucks has branded themselves for so long and in such a successful way that just the image of their logo on their cup is recognizable. The size of the symbol on the cup is not too big, nor is it too small. It is positioned just right and is designed in a way to be recognized by many people.
Pride Wall
(Rhythm)

I’m in the Pride, but as much as I love it, this image is used as an example of poor rhythm. The intervals between the elements and the elements themselves are not similar in size or length. There is no rhythmic flow to the display, either, because there is no sense of movement and it is not organic in nature.
