Design Bootcamp Reflection

This weeks assignments have really been the struggle for me. I’m already seeing that I’m not cut out for this InDesign/Photoshop life. Since this is only the beginning I predict the rest of this class to require a lot of work from me, but it’s okay. I’ll make it happen.

This week I was asked to markup a newspaper with the different titles of what each section was, do a copy cat of a flier in Indesign, and watch several videos on how to use Indesign and Photoshop. I honestly was very excited to start learning  how to use the programs since I’ve never touched either one before. I think I was pretty positive going into things. Doing the assignment on the other had proved o be a lot harder than i expected. I spent most of the time confused and was kind of stuck at some points.

I think overall I was just frustrated that I couldn’t remember the steps to do things and keep up with the videos at times. There is just so much information to know and when things don’t turn out right its easy to get discouraged and intimated. But I’ll definitely come back next week with a new out look on things because I can only go up from here.
