Designing for Emotion

In Public Relations Publications we were asked to read chapter 4 Emotional Engagement in Designing for Emotion and explain what we agree and disagree with in this chapter.  “There’s not enough time for deep, intellectual contemplation, so the brain relies on emotion to provide a “gut reaction.”” I definitely agree with this statement because interface designers can actually use emotion to help control what our next move is from clicking on a service or buying an item. It is all based on our emotion that triggers our “gut reaction.” I have never realized how true this is until reading this chapter and hearing the examples given. I agreed with “you may” instead of “you must.” It gave twitter users the option to change not forcing them too. Priming is crazy and it works in so many ways of conditioning our selves to be okay with things. I don’t really have anything I disagree with except I don’t like exactly how all priming is done.
