Designing for Emotion
I thought the first chapter of Designing for Emotion was extremely interesting. It gave a lot of great insight to history and the background of design and web design.
One thing that I agreed with is that individuals should be able to produce their raw goods and that websites like etsy are great for fostering creativity. By reducing corporations there is more space for the opportunity for uniqueness and furthered advancement in design.
I do on the flip side disagree with the idea that corporations are bad. We need corporations, whether people realize it or not. It may not fuel creativity, but it gives people access. Without corporations, individuals may not be able to afford art and design. Although the artists may not appreciate their work becoming prints, mass produced and sold, I believe ridding of corporations would make it so that only higher classes could attain art.
