Designing for Emotion–4

This chapter made an emphasis to discuss emotional engagement . I found one of the most interesting aspects to be its thoughts on social media these days. The author touched on some of the designs of these websites, and really how they’ve changed and developed over time.

Ive personally not been a fan of all the changes these sites mentioned (Twitter and Facebook) have made over the years. I particularly enjoyed the simplistic layouts they once presented, but understand that these sites are trying to integrate so many more features, and our site development has enhanced so much, that things are by nature going to get more complex.

 

Overall, I really agreed that these companies are using these types of upgrades to essentially make our visit to their sites a more memorable, engaging experience. I 100% agree with that, and didn’t find anything that honestly stood out that I wasn’t pleased with in this chapter.
