Designing for Emotion Chapter 2

For this assignment, we were asked to read chapter two of Designing for Emotion and write about something that we agree with and something that we disagree with. I will say that honestly, I found this chapter more interesting than chapter one. It seemed more on point than what I have read in the past.

I really agreed with how this chapter focused on the importance of emotion in everyday life. The book discusses how “emotion is fundamental,” both in life (the way we perceive things) and in our own design process. A lot of thought and emotion go into our creations and it is important that we are able to express ourselves through designs. One of the most important parts of design is being able to effectively portray the message that we are wanting to send. By using our emotions, we can ensure that what we have created goes along with it’s purpose.

I did not find anything in this chapter that I disagreed with. I think that it made some good points about fundamentals and I enjoyed reading it!
