Designing for Emotion: Chapter 2

This week we were required to read the second chapter in Designing for Emotion and blog what we agree and disagree with as we read the chapter. Just like we did for chapter 1.

While reading chapter 2, I didn’t find it as enjoyable to read as chapter 1. However I did agree with the author when explained that emotion is a fundamental part of who we are as humans, and it plays a foundational role in effective design. I agreed with it because emotion separates us from the other species on earth, and we have learned to use emotion to guide us in our creativity when designing something.

Just like last week I didn’t really read anything that I disagree with in this chapter. That is probably because the field of design is so foreign to me that everything I read is new so I haven’t had many opportunities to form opinions on a lot of what the book covers until now!
