Designing for Emotion: Chapter 2

I found the content in chapter two of Designing for Emotion very interesting. It talked about the universal principles among all humans and our instinct to search for patterns. In the chapter it talks about aesthetics and how it matters how a site appears, not just how it functions. The author compared this to someone going to an interview and recognized that they wouldn’t wear their pajamas and assume the interviewer would focus on what’s on the inside. I agree with this concept because I think it is very true that the appearance of websites and social media are crucial, not just how they operate.

There was not anything in the chapter that I didn’t agree with. I think all the concepts the author talked about were true. The chapter gave me more information about the psychological reasons behind humans related to design.
