Designing for Emotion-Chapter 2
In the book Designing for Emotion I can agree when the author says that brands need to have contrast. I feel like today a lot of brands attempt to copy their competitors because they want to stick to what they know works. But that doesn’t allow us consumers to distinguish them. I think more brands need to take risks and I think more people should too with their portfolios.
What I did not agree with is when he said that we can find ourselves in everything that we see. I don’t know how much of my feeling was disagreement and how much of it was not understanding his point. The example of the Twitter page using the Golden Ration to make it more appealing had no conscious effect on me because I thought the page looked really plain and not that appealing at all compared to other social media layout.
