Designing for Emotion: Chapter 7
As my last few weeks of public relations publications come to a close and the semester begins to get over whelming I was asked to read chapter 7 about taking risks in my book Designing for Emotion.
This chapter talked a lot about how brands and companies took risks in their designs and their campaigns. This chapter discussed how these risks paid off.
I agree with this chapter that taking a risk is essential in helping a movement grow. They touch on reach in this section and discuss how without change it is impossible to reach a wider audience. I not only think that taking risk in design is important but I think it is important to take risks in your daily life because you never know your full potential until you take a few risks.
I do not agree with the statement about not using your own ideas before asking for revisions on your design or potential publication. I think that it is important to put your full idea down on paper and feel confident in what you have come up with. Ask for revisions only after you have sought out your visions for the design completely. If you don’t take this risk and use your design or ideas first you’ll never know how someone might react to the,.
