Designing for Emotion Reflection

This week we were assigned to read Chapter 3–Designing for Emotion. I always enjoy reading these chapters because they are usually short, easy to read and very helpful. One thing I agreed with was when he was talking about voice and said, ” if your brand could talk, how would it speak”. This is something I could totally relate to because when I started my blog last summer I immediately began writing about different things I’d read, movies I’d watched and places I had visited–almost like an entertainment review blog. I feel as if I might have established my brand a little too soon. Now, I’m somewhat hesitant or afraid to post some of the things that I’ve recently been writing about  just because they do not go with the happy, little entertainment posts that my audience has gotten used to. One thing I found interesting about the article was when it was telling about the Weightbot app. Not that I disagree with what the article was trying to prove with the example, I’m just not very fond of the app and having the ability to further scrutinize ourselves and our bodies. I can see why it is a successful app though!
