Direct Mailer Final Reflection

Direct Mailer Final Reflection Direct Mailer Final Reflection Direct Mailer Final ReflectionOver the past couple of weeks we have been asked to design two different direct mailers for two stakeholders for our Public Relations Publications class. We were asked to identify two stakeholders and design a direct mailer to future students at The University of Oklahoma.

When we were first given this assignment I was a little nervous to use Photoshop, because I have used it in the past but never succeed in feeling confident with my designs. When I used photoshop in High School I was always working on projects for school editing pictures never creating unique one of a kind documents.

When I looked at my two finished products I was pretty surprised at what I was able to do using Photoshop. Before starting I thought this project was going to be much harder than the project using InDesign. I am pretty proud of my product. I think that my one targeted for future students would be something that appeals to me. I also think that more focused direct mailers will help to appeal to many different future sooners.

I think I was proud of my product because using Photoshop in the past has always been a frustrating experience, so to make it through with little to no frustration I was proud. I also think I am proud of what I made because it would be something that I would actually look at if it came in the mail. I am also proud because working in an application like Photoshop can be hard but I am beginning to feel my confidence rise as I use these design applications more and more. I think I prefer InDesign more than Photoshop because the tools are easier to use and I feel like the things I have designed on there are better looking.
