DIRECT MAILER REFLECTION
Hi!
So for my latest project, we have been challenged to make direct mailers for a certain stockholder or potential audience. This seemed to be quite difficult for me because we had to expand our practices in photoshop. I was feeling pretty confident in my design ability with InDesign but photoshop gave me a lot of new challenges I needed to face and eventually overcome. My first direct mailer kind of happened by accident…and when I saw that things just kinda fell in place where I thought they looked cool and by accidentally changing effects and colors I ended up with something I really liked. Now, for my second direct mailer. This seemed a lot harder for me because I was actually trying to use the tools and became frustrated by the was it all worked and the different layers to it all.
My first direct mailer’s stockholder is a high school senior looking to apply to colleges in Oklahoma. I wanted it to just be simply and pretty and highlighting the beautiful campus and things it could possibly offer.
My second direct mailer’s stockholder is a step further and approaches people who have received a high enough ACT/SAT test scores or grades from freshman year that they can apply for the Honors College at OU.
Here are my direct mailers
