Direct Mailers Reflection

For the direct mailer project, we were asked to create two direct mailers for OU Recruitment Services. There is one direct mailer per stakeholder for assignment. This project was pretty funny because it was a real life example. That made it easier, because I could imagine myself in the situations while creating the direct mailers and identifying the stakeholders. I think one reason I really got into this project during its course was because my sister has decided that she will attend OU next year! I mentioned this in a previous post if you’re following along, but I definitely had her in mind when I was designing the direct mailers.

I’m starting to get a lot more comfortable with Photoshop and InDesign. This project strengthened my Photoshop skills, but I’m starting to miss InDesign! It’s my preferred software because I like the interface more and don’t have to worry about selecting the right layers when working on a specific part of the project.

If there could be one thing I could change about this project, I would probably want to take more of my own photos and use them! The shots of Gaylord and the Bizzell Memorial Library were taken by me. I’m pretty proud of them! Overall, I would say my direct mailers turned out well. Now I feel prepared to take on the next challenge! Check out my final products below:
