Favorite Place on Campus

Hi, guys!

My name is Jessica Dillard, and I’m a senior at the University of Oklahoma with a major in public relations (obviously) and a minor in human relations.

Just a side note– I am currently writing this blog on my three-hour break from jury duty (just in case you wanted to be jealous of my day). But okay, back to business.

Anyways, I am from Norman, so I did not go very far for school at all. In all honesty, OU is the only place I applied for college!

Before even going to school at OU, I found one place that really stuck out to me on campus– the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Basically, my family lives and breathes Sooner football. For instance, my grandmother will not be caught dead in any shade of orange. So being the amazing daughter, granddaughter and Normanite that I am, I followed in their footsteps (but I’ll actually wear orange occasionally).

The significance of OU football started in my family over 70 years ago when my great grandfather went to school here. He is the one who started my family’s obsession with Sooner football, and we love it.
I always look forward to the fall because kickoff in September is like Christmas day in Norman.
Anyways, I look forward to this semester with you all, however I do not look forward to going back to jury duty in two hours.
