Final Chapter: Designing for Emotion
For one of our final requirements we had to read a chapter of our choice from the book Designing for Emotion. When it came to picking a chapter, I decided to focus on one that seems most relevant to what I’m currently experiencing: Chapter 7.
This chapter just enticed me because it spoke so many truths regarding design and taking risks within designs. The concept was to gradually add different emotions into designs to really grab your viewer, and that’s something I agree with because if you don’t at least risk it then why bother? That ties together my life in a sentence now, if you don’t risk then why bother? In reality risk usually pays off, and that’s what this chapter was trying to point out.
In terms of disagreeing, I can see why some would think that a risk would not be worth while based on prior experience, however what’s not the way I would see it personally.
