Final Direct Mailer Reflection

For this assignment I was asked to create a direct mailer for two different stakeholders. For my direct mailer I chose incoming freshmen/transfer students how have already been accepted to OU and am encouraging them to join the Greek community.  My second stakeholder was directed towards the parents of those students. I honestly was wishing we could create our direct mailers on InDesign instead of Photoshop because at time I was much more comfortable with InDesign than Photoshop. Photoshop intimidated me a little bit and I wanted to stick with what I knew. But as I was working with Photoshop I became much more comfortable with it and started actually enjoying working with it. I had to refer back to the Lynda.com videos a lot but towards the end I felt like I no longer needed them for the things I was wanting to do with my design project. After this project I feel about the same confidence with Photoshop as I do InDesign. If I were to do anything different I have started this project out with more confidence because I feel like I would have ended up with maybe a better design.
